145A.01 CREATION, COMPOSITION, TERM, REMOVAL, VACANCY.
   (a)   The Summit County JOBS Oversight Commission is hereby established consisting of fourteen (14) members, including: one (1) board member from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services; one (1) member from a major private industry employer in Summit County; one (1) member shall be a representative of labor; one (1) member from the University of Akron Community and Technical College; one (1) board member from a social service agency within Summit County; one (1) member from a Social Action Agency within Summit County; one (1) member from the local JTPA agency; one (1) member from the Social Services Advisory Board; and one (1) member from the Human Services Advisory Board; two (2) members who are current and/or former public assistance recipients; one (1) member from the Akron Area Association of Churches; one (1) member from an accounting firm in Summit County and one (1) member representing Summit County veterans.
   (b)   All members shall be appointed by the County Executive confirmed by County Council. Each member shall serve for three (3) year terms, except the initial appointments shall be staggered as follows:
      Four (4) members shall serve a one (1) year term;
      Five (5) members shall serve a two (2) year term; and
      Five (5) members shall serve a three (3) year term.
   (c)   All members shall serve without compensation. All appointments shall be made to reflect the diversity of the people of the County.
   Upon the recommendation of the Family Workforce Development Commission, the County Executive shall remove from membership on the Commission any person having three (3) consecutive unexcused absences from regular meetings or anyone missing more than four (4) regular meetings in one (1) year's time.
   (d)   Any vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as an original appointment.
