While the Building Official is responsible for all operations, duties and work assigned to or lawfully under control of the position, the Building Official has the right and authority to delegate the authority, duties and responsibilities assigned to the Building Official. Such delegation shall be to staff members of the Department of Building Standards within the various job descriptions adopted for the positions.
