The salary of the County Executive, for the term commencing January 1, 1997, and thereafter, hereby is established at one thousand dollars ($1,000) more than the highest paid Summit County non-judicial elected official salary. In the event the highest paid elected office holder’s position is eliminated by Charter amendment, the salary amount which would have been paid for that elected office shall still be considered for purposes of establishing the salary of the County Executive.
