In addition to the regular duties of a member of Council, the Council President has the additional responsibilities of serving on numerous boards and commissions; presiding over Council meetings; coordinating the council and committee agendas; attending additional civic meetings throughout the County; and developing consensus on legislative and administrative matters before Council. Therefore, in addition to the regular salary of a member of Council, the Council President will receive an additional 30% the salary prescribed for members of the Council effective January 1, 2009.
