743.01 RECORD BOOK TO REFLECT PURCHASE INFORMATION.
   Every person dealing in scrap iron, metal, waste materials, junk or other secondhand articles shall keep a record book in which he shall keep an accurate and complete record of all articles purchased or received by him in the course of his daily business. Such record shall be made at the time of purchase or receipt and shall contain the name, age, address, physical description (including height, weight and hair color) of the person from whom such purchase was made, the driver's license number or State identification card number, or other personal identification of the seller, the date and hour of the purchase, and the license number of any motor vehicle used for transport of the seller and the articles, or either. These entries shall be written in English and shall be open to inspection by any police officer. As part of the records to be maintained under this section, the name of the actual person making the purchase shall be listed. This provision shall not apply to transactions in aluminum cans or any transactions of less than fifty dollars ($50.00) per day per individual seller.
