The County Executive, with the approval of the Director of the Department of Law and Risk Management and the Prosecuting Attorney, is hereby authorized to settle moral claims up to the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000) without Council approval. The County Executive shall make quarterly reports of all moral claims settled pursuant to this authorization. Council's approval is required for all moral claims of more than five thousand dollars ($5,000).
