379.38 TRANSFER OF WATERCRAFT TITLE.

(a) For every watercraft required to be titled, when sold or ownership is transferred, the application for certificate of title shall be filed by the new owner within thirty (30) days of sale or taking possession of such watercraft, whichever is earlier.

(b) No person shall operate any watercraft for which a certificate of title is required without having such certificate.
