Portable signs are permitted in the C-1 Commercial District only. They are limited, by definition, to forty (40) square feet, or less, in display area and may be illuminated, but not flashing. A portable sign permit is good for one hundred eighty (180) days, at which time the sign must be removed from the permitted lot, parcel or premises, unless the permit is renewed as provided in Section 1383.11(c). All displayed portable signs must obtain a portable sign permit within ninety (90) days from the effective date of this section, or be removed from the premises.
