(a) Signs permitted under Section 1383.03 do not require a sign permit and do not require the payment of a fee. However, the sign and its supporting structure may require a building permit, which requirement is not waived.
(b) Each application for a general business sign or signs shall be accompanied by a check made payable to the City of Summersville, or cash in the amount of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for signs of less than thirty-two (32) square feet in display area, and Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for signage greater than thirty-two (32) square feet in display area. This fee shall be to defray the cost of processing and shall be in addition to any building permit fee or any other fee associated with the approval of a proposed or existing development.
(c) Portable sign permit applications shall be accompanied by a fee in the amount of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each sign. The permit shall be for a duration of not longer than one hundred eighty (180) days. Upon expiration of said permit the sign must be removed from the lot, parcel or premises, unless permit is renewed or re-issued for a like period and upon payment of an additional fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
