The Procurement Agents derive their authority from Town Ordinance Chapter 37. Town Council passed and adopted Ordinance Chapter 22, to govern the procurement activities of the Town, under the direction of the Town Administrator and the Comptroller. In general, the Ordinance established that the Procurement Agents' duties have been prescribed by the laws of the State of South Carolina and Town Council. Federal law is applicable to Town procurement activities anytime Federal funds are used for certain procurements.
