§ 150.01 POLICY STATEMENT.
   (A)   The village is committed to preserving the beauty of the mountain and to ensure that it is provided with a means of developing qualitative and effective outdoor graphics for purposes of navigation, information, and identity.
   (B)   Every business, organization, and property owner has not only the right but an obligation to identify itself well. It does not have the right to downgrade the environment.
   (C)   The purpose of this chapter is therefore:
      (1)   To provide the community with equitable sign standards, based on the values of fair competition and aesthetic standards acceptable to the community; and
      (2)   To provide the motoring public with a safe and effective means of easily reaching and identifying businesses, services, areas, and points of interest in the village.
