7-1-2: ACCESS TO ROADS:
   A.   Permit Required: No owner of or person having an interest in land abutting any thoroughfare under the jurisdiction of the village, lying within the corporate limits of the village shall lay out, provide or construct any new means or enlarge or extend any existing means of ingress to or egress from said abutting land without first obtaining a permit from the Public Works Director or designee.    B.   Culvert Modification: No resident or contractor shall modify a drainage ditch or add a culvert along a village maintained street or road without first obtaining a permit from the Public Works Director or designee.
   C.   Curb Modification: No land owner or contractor shall cut or modify an existing curb that is along a village maintained street or road without first obtaining a permit from the Public Works Director or designee.
   D.   Form of Application; Fee: The application for a culvert or a curb modification permit shall be submitted in such form as the village Public Works Director may prescribe and shall be accompanied by a non-refundable as specified in the Village Schedule of Fees.
   E.   Application Requirements: The application for a culvert or a curb modification permit shall be accompanied by contractor's proof of registration, certificate of insurance naming the Village as additional insured, and a warranty guarantee in the form of one thousand dollars ($1,000) cash.
   F.   Penalty: A penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code per offense may be imposed for any modification without permission of the Public Works Director. (Ord. 330, 12-26-1983; amd. 1998 Code; Ord. 2019-1001, 10-1-2019)
