A. Abandonment Prohibited: The abandonment of any motor vehicle or other vehicle or any part thereof on any highway in this Village is prohibited.
B. Authority Of Chief Of Police: For the purpose of this section, the Chief of Police is authorized to remove said motor vehicle and assume temporary possession or custody of the abandoned motor vehicle or, in the alternative, to provide for the removal of a motor vehicle by authorizing the towing away of the motor vehicle or, in the event that the motor vehicle is creating a traffic hazard by virtue of its position in relation to traffic, to authorize the immediate removal of the motor vehicle.
C. Responsibility Of Owner: The owner of said vehicle shall be liable for all costs. (Ord. 279, 2-12-1980)
