A. Streets and Roads: The provisions of this chapter shall not be effective for State Route 47, U.S. Route 30, State Route 56 or Main Street from its intersection from State Route 47 and the Burlington Northern Railroad right of way, hence south to its intersection and First Street.
B. Vehicles: The provisions of this chapter shall not be effective for any vehicles which fall within the following exceptions:
1. Vehicles owned and operated by the village (as well as Township, County, or State owned) and any other vehicle being operated for immediate public emergency purposes (e.g. firefighting apparatus, equipment for snow and ice removal operations).
2. "Implements of husbandry" as defined herein, with destination points located on village streets with posted weight restrictions. "Implements of husbandry" are defined as every vehicle designed and adapted exclusively for agricultural, horticultural or livestock raising operations, including farm wagons, wagon trailers or like vehicles used in connection therewith, or for lifting or carrying an implement of husbandry; provided, that no farm wagon, wagon trailer or like vehicles having a gross weight of more than thirty six thousand (36,000) pounds shall be included herein.
3. "Public utility vehicles", as defined in 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/15-100, as amended, and garbage, refuse, and septic vehicles which are operated to service persons or properties located on village streets with posted weight restrictions.
4. School buses being operated within the village to pick up from or return children to residences within the village located on village streets with posted weight restrictions.
5. Vehicles operating under special permits as issued pursuant to section 6-4-5 of this chapter.
6. Notwithstanding any of the hereinabove described exceptions, no vehicle shall be operated on any village roads which is not allowed to be operated state roads and any vehicle prohibited from operation on state roads for any reason, including, but not limited to, weight and size, shall be prohibited from operation on village roads without an appropriate permit for such.
