The purpose of this chapter is to promote the safety of the general public and to help preserve the quality and integrity of the streets, roads, highways and public ways open to vehicular traffic to the general public within the jurisdiction of the village. Therefore, it is hereby declared that the regulations contained herein pertaining to maximum weight and loads and oversize dimensions of vehicles shall apply to all vehicles using the streets, roads, highways and public ways within the jurisdiction of the village.
