All trenches caused by the construction of sewers, water mains, water service pipes, and the excavation around catch basins, manholes, inlets and other appurtenances which occur within two feet (2') of the limits of existing or proposed pavements, sidewalks and curb and gutters, trails and driveways or where the edge of the trench shall be within two feet (2') of said improvements, shall be backfilled with mechanically compacted granular backfill.
Granular backfill shall consist of CA-7 crushed limestone and shall be compacted in place in six inch (6") lifts to ninety five percent (95%) of maximum density at optimum moisture as determined by the Modified Proctor Test. (Ord. 2018-02-20, 2-20-2018)
