A subdivider desiring to secure the approval of a plat shall submit an application for such approval in writing along with eight copies of the proposed preliminary drawing. These shall be filed with the Village Clerk and shall be distributed by such Clerk to Council, Planning Commission and Utilities Department. Such preliminary drawing shall be delivered to the Clerk at least fourteen days prior to the meeting of the Planning Commission. Following review of the drawing to determine its conformity with the standards set forth herein, the Planning Commission shall then tentatively approve or disapprove the drawing and report out to Council. Council shall then review such preliminary drawing, approve or disapprove the same and shall notify the subdivider of the decision. Preliminary Drawing approval shall be in effect for one year. After a one year period, an extension of approval must be requested.
