Be it resolved for the purpose of promoting public health, safety, morals, comfort, and general welfare; to conserve and protect the property and property values; to secure the most appropriate use of land; or to facilitate adequate but economical provision of public improvement; all in accordance with a comprehensive plan, that Council does hereby determine to regulate the location, height, bulk, number of stories and size of buildings, and other structures including tents, cabins and trailer coaches, percentage of lot areas which may be occupied, set-back building lines, size of yards, courts and other open spaces, the density of population, and the use of buildings and structures including tents, cabins and trailer coaches and the use of land for trade, industry, residents, recreation or other purposes in the territory of the Village by districts as shown on the Official Zoning Maps of the Village.
