149.06 HOLIDAYS.
   (a)   The following designated dated to wit: Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day are hereby designated as legal holidays. In the event that any of the legal holidays shall fall on a Saturday, the Friday immediately proceeding shall be observed as the Holiday. In the event the legal holiday shall fall on a Sunday, the Monday succeeding shall be observed as the holiday. If an employee's work schedule is other than Monday through Friday, he shall be entitled to holiday pay for holidays observed on his day off regardless of the day of the week on which they are observed.
   (b)   Some departments (bargaining units) may negotiate different day other than those listed above.
