(a) The regular Fire Department is hereby supplemented by the use of intermittent EMTs which shall be under the supervisor and control of the Director of Public Safety and Service and the Fire Chief of the City.
(b) Intermittent EMTs shall not exceed thirty members in number. Members shall be appointed by the Director and be subject to such rules and regulations as prescribed by the Director and the Fire Chief. Intermittent EMT employee shall be paid in accordance with the rates defined and established in the salary ordinance and each member shall be covered by the Industrial Compensation Act. (Ord. 22-051.
