There is hereby created and established a Public Tree Care Ordinance to provide the City with legal authority over the care of all trees, plants, and shrubs located on public property within the City in order to enhance the quality of life and the present and future health, safety, and welfare of all citizens, to enhance property values, and to ensure proper planting and care of trees, plants, and shrubs on public property.
