The Planning Director shall have the duty to advise Council and the Mayor on all matters related to City planning and zoning; to make studies and recommendations on proposed changes in the land use plan (master plan), zoning ordinances, zoning district boundaries, and subdivision regulations in the City; to issue zoning permits and administer, implement, and enforce the provisions of the planning and zoning ordinances and subdivision regulations; to supervise the work of the Planning and Zoning Department; and to perform such other duties and tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the Mayor.
