(a) The areas of special flood hazard have been identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in a scientific and engineering report entitled "Flood Insurance Study for the City of Streetsboro". This study, with accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps dated and effective June 15, 1981, as amended, effective December 2, 1988, and any revisions thereto, are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter. The Flood Insurance Study is on file for public inspection in the office of the Building Director.
(b) Areas of special flood hazard where base flood elevation data have not been provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in accordance with the above paragraph are designated as Zone A on the community's Flood Insurance Rate Map. Within these areas, the Building Director shall obtain, review and reasonably utilize any base flood elevation and flood way data available from a Federal, State or other source in order to administer the provisions of this chapter.
