The Building Director shall obtain and maintain on file open for public inspection in the Building Department the following information relative to construction or substantial improvement in areas of special flood hazard, where base flood elevation data are utilized, in addition to any other information required to be kept by the provisions of this Building Code, the Codified Ordinances or State and Federal law.
(a) The actual elevation (in relation to mean sea level) of the lowest floor, including basement, of all new or substantially improved structures, and whether or not such structures contain a basement.
(b) For all new or substantially improved flood proofed structures:
(1) Verification and recording of the actual elevation (in relation to mean sea level) to which the structure was flood proofed.
(2) Recording and maintenance of the flood proofing certifications required by this chapter.
