553.04 COLLECTION OF COSTS.
   (a)   Before the Director of Public Service causes any uncut growth to be cut, the Director shall conspicuously attach a notice to the primary building upon the subject parcel of land or post the notice if such parcel is vacant stating that if the uncut growth is not cut in accordance with this chapter within five (5) calendar days of this notice, the Director will cause the uncut growth to be cut at the owner’s expense.
   (b)   After the Director of Public Service causes any uncut growth to be cut, the Director shall give a written demand, by certified mail, to the owner of the subject parcel of land, at their last known address, to pay the costs thereof. The demand shall be accompanied by a statement of the amount of costs incurred in cutting, trimming, or removing the uncut growth, or parts thereof, including the costs of mailing such demand pursuant to this Section 553.04(a) and a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) administrative charge per demand.
   (c)   If such costs are not paid within thirty (30) calendar days after the mailing of the demand, then the amount of costs shall be certified to the County Auditor by the Director of Public Service against the subject parcel of land for collection of the same as other taxes and assessments are collected.
