It shall be unlawful for any person to:
A. Gamble or attend any gambling resort or to make a bet, lottery or gambling hazard, or to buy or sell any chances or tickets in any gambling game.
B. Possess or expose for public use any slot machine, pinball machine or coin-operated device designed for gambling or any other gambling device, punchboard or paraphernalia with the intent to use the same for an unlawful purpose; and any such device or paraphernalia kept with such intent may be confiscated by any member of the Police Department.
C. Maintain or patronize any establishment maintained for a gambling house or resort anywhere in the Village or within one mile thereof.
D. Advertise any gambling house or resort in any street, alley or other public place within the Village.
E. The prohibitions set forth in this Section 4-3-9 shall not apply to those gambling activities as may, from time-to-time, be expressly authorized and permitted by this Code and State law.
