(A) Whenever any heating, ventilating or air conditioning equipment has been installed or altered, none of the equipment shall be turned on prior to the inspection of the equipment by the Building Department and the issuance of a certificate of inspection covering the installation or alteration.
(B) However, the Building Department may issue a temporary certificate for the use of the equipment during the course of construction or alteration of buildings. The temporary certificate shall expire when the construction or alteration of the building is complete.
