§ 150.106 REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   No person shall, within the village, erect, construct or maintain any fence or any section or portion thereof unless it conforms to the following requirements and specifications.
      (1)   No new fence shall be constructed after 1-8-2002 on that portion of any lot within 25 feet of the front property line of the lot. Existing fences may be repaired or replaced.
      (2)   On that portion of any lot which is more than 25 feet from the front property line, the maximum height of a fence shall be six feet.
      (3)   On that portion of the premises which constitutes the rear, abuts a public alley and is not more than five feet from the property line abutting the public alley, no fence may exceed a height of seven feet, but may be constructed of any material, except barbed wire, as desired by the owner or occupant of the premises.
      (4)   No person being the owner, lessee or agent of any real estate in the village shall erect, maintain or permit to be erected or maintained on or about the exterior building line of the real estate or upon any portion of the sidewalk adjacent to the real estate any fence which is not in compliance with the terms of divisions (A)(1), (A)(2) or (A)(3) above.
   (B)   No fence shall be erected within three feet of any street line or the line of any public grounds. Any such fence, when so constructed, is hereby declared a public nuisance.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person, persons or corporation to construct within the limits of the village any fence or fences without the proper permit. No fence composed wholly or in part of barbed wire shall be erected. No fence or fences shall be erected within 25 feet of front of property. All new fences must be installed with metal posts.
