§ 150.022 RECOMMENDATION OF BUILDING INSPECTOR; ISSUANCE OF PERMIT.
   (A)   The application, plans and specifications filed by an applicant for a permit shall be checked by the Building Inspector and, if found to conform with the requirements of this code and all other laws and ordinances, the Inspector shall submit the same with recommendations to the Board of Trustees and, upon its approval by the Village Clerk, shall, upon receipt of the required fee, issue a permit therefor.
   (B)   The Clerk, when issuing the permit, shall endorse in writing or stamp both sets of plans and specifications “approved”.
      (1)   One set of plans and specifications shall be retained by the Clerk as a public record and the other set shall be returned to the applicant.
      (2)   The set returned to the applicant shall be kept on the building or work site at all times during which the work authorized thereby is in progress and shall be open to inspection by public authorities.
