§ 112.02 PERSONS SUBJECT TO LICENSING; ADDITIONAL LICENSES.
   (A)   Whenever in this code a license is required for the maintenance, operation or conduct of any business or establishment or for doing business or engaging in any activity or occupation, any person, firm or corporation shall be subject to the requirement if, by himself, herself or through an agent, employee or partner, he or she holds himself or herself forth as being engaged in the business or occupation or solicits patronage therefor, actively or passively, or performs or attempts to perform any part of the business or occupation in the village.

   (B)   (1)   Definitions. For the purpose of this division (B), the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
         ADDITIONAL SERVICES. Any business or operation of a business that the person is seeking to conduct at the same location or on the same premises of that person’s present business license that is defined by the village’s municipal code as separate and distinct from and/or a different business than the person initially received from the village.
         BUSINESS. Any business defined by and recognized by the village’s municipal code.
      (2)   License required/additional license required. Any person operating a business within the corporate boundaries of the village must have a business license licensed issued by the village pursuant to its policies and procedures for that specifically defined business, unless the business is exempt from obtaining a local business license pursuant to state statute.
      (3)   Conditions of license.
         (a)   No person shall be eligible for an “additional services” business license unless the person has a valid and current business license issued by the Village Board of Trustees.
         (b)   The business that the person is seeking to license must be a business form currently recognized by the municipal code and is a separately regulated and licensed business by the code.
         (c)   An additional services license shall only be issued upon approval of Village Board of Trustees, at its sole discretion.
      (4)   License term. The term of the license shall be one year.
      (5)   License fee. The annual fee for an additional services license shall be $50.
