(A) No domestic animal afflicted with a contagious disease shall be permitted to be exposed in any area of the village whereby the health of humans or other animals may be affected; nor shall the diseased animal be shipped or removed from the premises of its keeper, except under the supervision of the Health Officer or the Health Officer’s designate.
(B) It is hereby made the duty of the Village Health Department to secure the disposition of any diseased animal and the treatment of affected premises as to prevent the communication and spread of contagion or infection, except in cases where the State or County Animal Welfare Veterinarian is empowered to act.
