The fee for each excavation permit shall be based upon the number of inspections required for the project at a rate per inspection established by the Town Council. The minimum permit fee will be the amount of a single inspection. Should any person fail to secure a permit prior to commencement of any excavation, an investigation fee shall be assessed equal to the amount of and in addition to the permit fee. The investigation shall not apply to the case of emergency work as outlined in section 7-5-25 of this chapter. (Ord. 2019-09, 5-9-2019)
