The Chief may make recommendations to the Mayor relating to the employment of firefighters and such other personnel as may be necessary to enforce the provisions of this chapter. The Chief may employ such additional personnel as the Mayor and Governing Body may direct or authorize, including a Deputy Chief and such other officers as may be provided for in the Constitution, bylaws or other rules and regulations adopted by the department.
