No elected official, appointee, or city employee shall accept any gift or gifts that exceed the dollar value established in § 37.03. No elected official, appointee, or city employee shall solicit or accept a gift, or give anything of value to another person or entity, which is intended to, or could influence a vote, decision, or other exercise of official authority in any matter involving the City of St. Johns. Any violations of this section shall be subject to the penalty provisions of this chapter.
