(a) Portable L.P.G. tanks to a maximum six gallons water capacity (nominal twenty pounds L.P.G.) for the purpose of outdoor cooking in conjunction with L.P.G. grills shall be permitted in accordance with Section 1503.08(b) below.
(b) L.P.G. tanks for the purpose of heating and cooking may be installed and used only with the approval of the Fire Chief or Fire Prevention Officer pursuant to this and another applicable regulations except areas of the City that provide other utilities for such purposes in which case L.P.G. use shall be prohibited.
(c) L.P.G. tanks to maximum of 125 gallons water capacity (nominal 423 pounds L.P.G. capacity) shall be permitted when such tanks are permanently installed in a motor vehicle and intended to provide engine fuel.
(d) L.P.G. tanks to a maximum water capacity of twelve gallons (nominal 40 pounds L.P.G. capacity) shall be permitted as a fuel on service vehicles provided such tanks are securely and safely attached and the service was designed for placement of such tank.
(e) L.P.G. tanks to a maximum water capacity of 43 gallons (nominal 150 pounds L.P.G. capacity), shall be permitted in recreational vehicles, provided that all tanks are at all times installed and stored on the vehicles and the placement of all tanks meets the installation requirements of the National Fire Codes.
(f) L.P.G. tanks to a maximum 124 gallons water capacity (nominal 420 pounds L.P.G.) for the purpose of heating swimming pools may be permitted with approval of the Fire Chief or Fire Prevention Officer pursuant to this and any other applicable regulations, except in areas of the City that provide other utilities for such purposes in which case L.P.G. use shall be prohibited.
