1501.13 STORAGE LIMITS AND ROUTES FOR TRANSPORTING DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES.
   (a)   The storage of explosives, ammunition and blasting agents as well as dangerous ordnance as set forth in Ohio R.C. 2923.11 and 2923.18, is prohibited within the corporate limits of the City.
   (b)   The routes for vehicles transporting flammable or combustible liquids, explosives and blasting agents, are hereby established as follows: U.S. Route 22 and State Route 7, except for deliveries to and pickups from other public way or place in the City, but then only by the most direct route to or from such place of delivery or pickup.
   (c)   No person shall transport flammable or combustible liquids, explosives or blasting agents in violation of this section.
   (d)   The storage of flammable or combustible liquids in residentially zoned areas is prohibited, except as provided below:
      (1)   Quantities of flammable liquids not to exceed ten gallons;
      (2)   Quantities of combustible liquids not to exceed ten gallons;
      (3)   Combustible liquids used for home heating fuel;
      (4)   When permitted, flammable or combustible liquids shall be stored in approved containers.
   (e)   The storage of flammable or combustible liquids shall be permitted in commercial and industrial zoned areas, in accordance with all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances, and provided such flammable or combustible liquid storage is for business or industrial use.
   (f)   Flammable liquids means any liquid having a flash point below 100 degrees F. (38 degrees C.), and having a vapor pressure not exceeding 40 psia (276 kPa) at 100 degrees F. (38 degrees C.).
   (g)   Combustible liquids means any liquid having a flash point at or above 100 degrees F. (38 degrees C.). (Ord. 1998-132. Passed 11-24-98.)
