2-1-2: OFFICER IN COMMAND:
The Fire Chief shall be the officer highest in command, and next in command shall be the Assistant Chief and in the absence of both, the next officer in rank, whom the Chief shall designate shall assume command of the department. (Ord. 25, 10-6-1930)
