Any peace officer is hereby authorized to take charge of any unattended vehicle parked in violation of any provisions of this chapter and cause the vehicle to be towed to a city lot or to privately owned lot or garage which holds itself out to the public as a place to store automobiles. All expenses incurred as a result of towing and storing an impounded automobile shall be paid by the owner of the automobile prior to the return of the automobile. (Ord. 77, 9-4-1973)
