8-1-10-8: PARKED VEHICLES; ACCIDENT:
A red light shall be displayed on the rear of any motor vehicle parked or standing on any public highway of the city from sunset to sunrise, unless the highway where the vehicle is parked or standing shall be artificially lighted to such an extent as clearly to indicate the presence of the parked vehicle; however, where the parked vehicle is properly lighted and an accident extinguishes the light required by this section and renders the vehicle incapable of use, then the person in control of the vehicle shall place, at the earliest possible opportunity after the accident, a proper light at or near the vehicle which will give warning of the presence of the parked vehicle.
