7-2-2: SIDEWALK SPECIFICATIONS:
   A.   No permanent sidewalk shall be constructed, reconstructed or repaired on any street in any part of the city as now existing, or as it may hereafter be extended, unless the same is built of what is known as first quality Portland cement with such a mixture of sand or crushed stone and water as may be by resolution provided from time to time by the city council, or in accordance with plans and specifications that may be adopted therefor and kept on file in the office of the city clerk.
   B.   The city council may at any time by resolution, condemn any sidewalk now in use or which may hereafter be constructed within the city, which is constructed or may be constructed of materials in any different manner than that prescribed or adopted the city council for the construction or reconstruction of permanent sidewalks and in force at the time such sidewalk shall have been constructed or reconstructed, and may authorize any person, or any employee of the city, to remove such sidewalk and rebuild the same in conformity with the requirements of the city council then in force, and the cost of removing and reconstructing said sidewalk, shall be assessed against the property along which such sidewalk was removed or reconstructed. Such assessment shall be made in the same manner as assessments made for the cost of constructing permanent sidewalks herein provided. (Ord. 8, 9-5-1921)
