The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the safety and well being of all citizens of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, by prohibiting sex offenders and sexual predators from residing within two thousand feet (2,000') of a place of worship, public park, public playground, public library or school bus stop within the city of Steamboat Rock.
