A. Each backflow prevention assembly required hereunder shall be approved by the department prior to installation, and shall be installed by and at the expense of the user.
B. The department may approve backflow assemblies when such devices have received approval from the Foundation For Cross Connection Control And Hydraulic Research of the University Of Southern California, American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the manufacturer has a parts and service center located within Arizona.
