Uniforms for the Reserve Police Unit will be furnished by the City. The uniform will be the same color as the regular duty officers. The uniform will be worn with a breast badge, nameplate, and two patches with the lettering “RESERVE POLICE”. A cap shall also be worn. Reserve police officers shall wear a duty belt with a baton and chemical agent, provided they have received training in their use. Reserve police officers shall also carry a flashlight and a pen and notebook. When available, the Police Department may assign a handheld radio for use while the reserve police are on duty. The uniform will only be worn while on duty, going to and from a duty assignment and, if needed, during training.
