1523.01 AUTHORITY AT FIRE OR OTHER EMERGENCY.
   The Fire Chief or his duly authorized representative in charge at the scene of a fire or other emergency involving protection of life or property, is empowered to direct such operations as may be necessary to extinguish or control any suspected or reported fires, gas leaks or other hazardous conditions or take such other action as is necessary to protect life or property within the City. The Fire Chief or his duly authorized representative may prohibit any person or vehicle from approaching the scene of a fire, gas leak or other hazardous condition and may remove or cause to be removed from the scene any person or vehicle which may impede or interfere with the operation of the employees of the Fire Department or volunteer firemen. The Fire Chief or his duly authorized representative may remove or cause to be removed any person, vehicle or property from the hazardous area. All persons ordered to leave a hazardous area shall do so immediately and shall not re-enter the area until authorized to do so by the Fire Chief or his duly authorized representative. (Ord. 2009-22.
