(A) The city’s Water System shall be operated at all times in compliance with Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 68-221-101 et seq., and Regulations for Public Systems and Drinking Water Quality, State Department of Environment and Conservation, as amended from time to time.
(B) (1) Prior to executing any work order for a new customer, or for any change in service to an existing customer, notification shall be given to the office of cross-connection control.
(2) Said inspectors, from the cross-connection office, shall make an immediate determination in writing to the customer, of the type of backflow prevention device(s) the customer needs to have installed.
(3) Water service shall not be established or maintained until all necessary backflow devices are installed.
