A Board of Zoning Appeals shall be created with five members, one of which shall be an Alderman not serving on the Planning Commission, who is to be approved by the governing board of the city, and the remaining four members shall be appointed by the Mayor. The term of office shall be for a period of four years with the Alderman’s term coinciding with his or her elected term of office.
