Pursuant to authority granted by Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 6-54-501 through 6-54-506 and for the purpose of regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures, including the standards for supplied utilities and facilities, conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use, the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use, and the demolition of such existing structures, the International Property Maintenance Code, 2006 edition, (IPMC), as prepared and adopted by the International Code Council, Inc., is hereby adopted and incorporated, by reference, as a part of this code, with the additions, insertions, revisions, exclusions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 13-102 of this chapter and is hereinafter referred to as the “Property Maintenance Code”.
