§ 2-204 DUTIES AND POWERS OF COMMISSION.
   The duties and powers of the Commission shall be to:
   (A)   Act as the advisory board regarding parks and recreation plans, policies, and projects of the city, including the use of city property or funds by civic organizations for recreation purposes, subject to the general governance of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen;
   (B)   Study, plan, determine, and recommend parks and recreation needs in property, facilities, maintenance, and programs based on public input and surveys, and present the same to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on a periodic basis as requested by the Board;
   (C)   Report at each monthly meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on the activities and plans of the Commission;
   (D)   The Commission is authorized to spend an amount less than $10,000 for a single project, event, or series of expenditures devoted to one end result; and
   (E)   Work with personnel as selected and supervised by the city.
