§ 2-201 ORGANIZATION AND APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.
   (A)   There shall be a Parks and Recreation Commission of the city (hereinafter referred to as “the Commission”), which shall serve as an advisory board regarding parks and recreation plans, policies, and projects, and to serve as liaison between citizens and the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on parks and recreation related matters.
   (B)   The Commission shall be constituted as a body of seven members. Six members shall be appointed at-large from within the city limits. The members shall be appointed by majority vote of the membership of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The Mayor shall appoint a seventh member, who shall be an Alderman. The Chairperson will be appointed by majority vote of the membership of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
   (C)   Members of the Commission shall serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary expenses.
