§ 7-902 LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES, ARE CONSIDERED A HAZARDOUS MATERIAL.
   Per the EPA and are subject to DOT's Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR; 49 CFR Parts 171-180) and should not be disposed of in standard household trash.
   (A)   Used batteries should be disposed of at a recycling center or other household hazardous waste collection point.
   (B)   Consumers should tape terminal ends and place batteries in separate plastic bags prior to disposal.
